Search Engine Optimisation experts QueryClick might be renowned for their digital wizardry but it would seem they're now swapping pixels for column inches following a number of newspaper articles on the Edinburgh-based agency.

In fact, QueryClick have been featured in as many as five different news articles over the past month alone, proving 2011 really is the year that search engine optimisation, conversion rate optimisation and paid search hits the headlines.

Working with PR gurus, Holyrood PR, QueryClick have been featured in a number of publications including an article on their recent Revolution Award short listing for 'Best Use of Search in Leisure and Travel' which was published by the Edinburgh Reporter.

The awards which recognise the UK's most creative, challenging and successful digital marketing campaigns, see QueryClick pitted against a number of major leisure and travel providers including Easy Jet and Visit Britain.

QueryClick have also been featured in the Perthshire Advertiser for their work with gift hamper company – Christmashamper.com. Here, QueryClick made column inches after a closely fought Christmas battle with the likes of Marks and Spencers saw Christmashamper.com knocked off Google's coveted top spot.

A targeted back linking campaign and consistent updating of content each day allowed Christmashamper.com to sit ahead of their rivals within just a couple of weeks.
Sam Barrie - from parent company Highland Fayre - quotes in the article: "The fact that we are able to climb back up the search engine rankings after a disappointing fall and a very limited budget really is fantastic."

QueryClick were also the focus of an article in the Scotsman's business section after their SEO campaign with luxury leisure group Montpeliers saw online bookings at their hotel – Tigerlily – rise by 20% causing occupancy to jump to 85%.

Develpoment director for Montpeliers David Johnston, suggests in the article, that whilst these increases are down to the company's efforts across all fronts, there is no doubt at all that QueryClick have had a very significant role to play in that.
