Browser wars showed no sign of letting up recently following the launch of a new set of analytics that gives an insight into the growth, popularity and market share of the world's leading web browsers.
Chrome might be the newest web browser to hit the ether but in keeping with the rise and rise of Google, Chrome has quickly become the fastest growing web browser for the fifth month in a row; mainly taking away from Microsoft Internet Explorer's share of the market.
While Chrome's market share increased from 6.13% to 6.73%, Internet Explorer slipped from 60.65% to 59.95% while Firefox and Apple Safari both saw marginal improvements of 24.52% - 24.59% and 4.65 – 4.72% respectively.
Despite fluctuations and substantial growth from competitor Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 still remains the world's most popular web browser with around a fifth of the market share.
